A good number of the songs I write have social-emotional components to them, because these are concepts that are incredibly important to a child’s development, no matter what age.
This is one such song, and one that I use across a span of age ranges because it is designed to be adapted. In it’s original form, the song addresses greeting a friend, smiling, laughing, and saying goodbye, but I often add additional verses or change them up to suit the needs of the child or group with whom I’m working.
“What do you do when you’re feeling ______?” There are endless ways to fill in that blank, so be creative in using this song to its fullest potential!
