Description

The idea to write a song about JOY hit me out of the blue just as I started to plan my repertoire for the holiday season. I sat down immediately and did exactly that, and so far it’s been one of my favorite songs to sing with my students.

In addition to discussing what the word “joy” means, we also talk about the things that makes us feel joy (a fun way to come up with new verses!) and express joy with our faces, hands and feet as the chorus suggests.

Simply singing this song makes me feel excited about the holidays, and my goal is to pass that feeling on to everyone listening and singing along. I hope you have that same experience with it!
