Description

When I write holiday songs, I try to be mindful of the traditions and customs that are celebrated during this time of year. As a child, my family celebrated both Christmas and Hanukkah (since my dad’s side of the family was Jewish), so I learned at an early age to appreciate all that this season has to offer.

And while I’ve written many a song focusing solely on Christmas, Lights, Lights, Lights is not one of them. Many of the winter holidays involve lights of some sort, and we see them in both our homes and throughout our communities at this time of year. I think this song provides the opportunity to start a conversation about the different lights we see, and how they relate to our celebrations.
