Description
When it comes to planning our early childhood classes, we try to include as many signs and fine motor movements as possible. “Roll a Snowball” was written specifically for that purpose, and it’s been a staple this holiday season.
Prior to singing the song, I teach my kiddos the signs for snow, ball, snowball, and roll (the words used most in the chorus). I’ve been adding new signs — words from the verses including snowman, baseball, and igloo — in subsequent classes and sessions.
It’s so much fun to see how well they remember the signs from week to week, and it’s absolutely adorable to watch them make the signs while we sing the song.
