Description
“Slow and Steady” is a term that some people may find themselves using with children (and adults, too!). It’s tempting to dive right into a project, skipping all the intermediate steps. “Slow & Steady” is a song I wrote specifically for tone blocks. While playing and singing along, participants internalize the value of going “slow and steady” across settings and situations.
“Slow & Steady” provides opportunities to address these objectives:
-Improve understanding of slow tempo
-Improve ability to follow directions
-Improve gross and fine motor skills
-Increase sustained attention
I’m sure you will recognize the piggybacked tune, which has quite a calming effect on especially energetic groups. As much as I love an upbeat song, it’s always nice to take a breather.
