The guitar is a fascinating instrument, especially to some of our young participants! “Strum With Your Fingers & Thumb” is designed to give each participant an opportunity to strum the guitar while the facilitator forms the chords.

“Strum With Your Fingers & Thumb” provides opportunities to address these objectives:

  • Improve fine motor skills
  • Improve turn-taking skills (in group setting)
  • Improve ability to follow directions
  • Increase directional awareness

Once the participants feel comfortable strumming, consider demonstrating how to pluck the strings individually!
