Description

For many of my students, the concept of left and right is very foreign and not yet within their grasp, but it’s never too early to start working on it. Click and clack along to this castanet song!

“Click Clack” provides opportunities to address these objectives:

-Improve ability to utilize the pincer grasp
-Improve discrimination of right and left hand
-Increase directional awareness

Ask participants to name the direction in which they will play the castanets, and then have them demonstrate how to do so, giving prompts only when necessary. For an added challenge, substitute additional directions!
