Description

Usually when I cover an existing song, I make some changes or adaptations to the lyrics and sometimes even the melody. But I left this one alone, because it already worked perfectly for me and my students in its original form.

With all of the negative things happening in our world, I wanted to end my latest early childhood music class with a song all about love and positivity. This one, originally written and performed in 1969 by Jackie DeShannon, came to mind immediately.

The message is simple: the world is a better place when we choose love. There’s no better lesson to teach young children, in my opinion.
