Description
When I was in high school, my show choir choreographer taught us all how to tap dance. I can still do all the steps to “Bill Bailey”, the big tap number we performed my junior year. I’ve tapped in several musical productions since then, and have always found it to be so much fun.
My love of tap inspired this song, which is a bit of a unique concept when it comes to playing the castanets. But I was going for something different, and so far all my kiddos have loved pretending to wear tap shoes on their fingers :)
“Your Fingers Can Dance” not only provides the opportunity to work on fine motor skills required to manipulate the castanets, but it also addresses the concept of left and right as well as front and back.
